Rich enough to linger on, gentle enough to drink all morning.
Gold Standard is Jablum’s higher grade of 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee: the same mountain and the same hand-picked care, with the bean selection taken a step further. That is why it costs a little more than regular Jablum. Grown on the steep slopes of Jamaica’s Blue Mountains, roasted in Jamaica and vacuum-sealed whole in a 1 lb bag.
The cup. Smooth and rich, with mild acidity and a naturally sweet finish.
One 16 oz (1 lb) bag, whole bean
Questions people ask
Is it 100% Blue Mountain coffee?
Yes, 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee, from a higher grade of bean.
Is it JACRA certified?
Yes. Before any coffee can be exported as Jamaica Blue Mountain® coffee, it is inspected and certified by JACRA, the Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Authority. What JACRA certification means.
When will it arrive?
It ships directly from Jamaica, with delivery in 7 to 15 business days.
For the best cup, choose whole bean and grind it right before brewing. The aroma stays locked inside the bean, and once coffee is ground it fades much faster.
Ground is here for convenience: if you don’t have a grinder, or the coffee is a gift. Keep the bag sealed, store it somewhere cool and dark, and enjoy it within a couple of weeks of opening.
HOW TO BREW IT
Getting the best cup
Start with about 2 tablespoons (10 g) of coffee per 6 oz of water just off the boil. Grind whole beans just before brewing: medium for drip, coarse for French press. Taste it black first: a mild, clean Blue Mountain coffee rarely needs sugar.
Using an AeroPress? Try about 15 g (2 rounded tablespoons) ground medium-fine, 7 oz of water just off the boil, a gentle stir, 1½ to 2 minutes of steeping, then press slowly for about 30 seconds. It gives a clean, smooth cup that shows off Blue Mountain coffee’s mild sweetness.
Packaging a bit rough
Shopping was easy and shipping was quick. It was sent in an envelope so the packaging was pretty rough/crinkled/bent. The coffee is a gift so I'm hoping the quality of the beans is better than the the condition of the package.
Slow shipping
This company needs to get a grip! It has been seven days since ordering and I still do not have 3 of the 6 products shipped. I guess I have learned to stick with KOA Kona
Jacked up shipping
I ordered 6 items and it took 7 days to get the product with 2 day shipping and I still do not have my JBLUM Gold. They ship your items in several shipments. I guess I learned just to stick with my KOA Kona coffee.
Full bodied flavor with little bitter after taste
What I like most about this coffee is the company. There was a mix up with this order and then delay for this particular coffee bean. The customer service was patient with my impatience. Communication was on point. Not sure what I like better the coffee or people!
