We have some happy news to share. This month, Coffee Traders Ltd in Kingston, Jamaica named One Happy Coffee a Certified Distributor of its Jamaica Blue Mountain® coffee.
For a small family business like ours, that means a lot. We started One Happy Coffee because we were tired of seeing "Blue Mountain" on bags that held very little of it. Every certificate we hold is one more way for you to know that what we sell is the real thing.

The short answer: Coffee Traders, a roaster in Kingston, Jamaica, has certified One Happy Coffee as a distributor of its Jamaica Blue Mountain® coffee. The certificate was issued in Kingston in October 2026 and is valid for one year. When you buy Coffee Traders from us, you are buying from a seller the roaster itself has approved.
What the certificate says
The certificate reads: "This is to certify that One Happy Coffee is a Certified Distributor of Coffee Traders Ltd Jamaica Blue Mountain® Coffee. Given in the city of Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies, this month of October 2026." It is valid for one year from the date it was issued, carries the Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee seal, and is signed by the Managing Director.
Why it matters when you buy
Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is one of the most copied coffees in the world. Blends with a few percent of Blue Mountain beans, look-alike names and repacked bags are common, especially online. A certificate from the roaster is one of the simplest ways to cut through that.
- It comes from the source. The people who roast and pack the coffee in Jamaica have named us as a distributor. That is a direct link between the bag in your hands and the roastery in Kingston.
- It sits on top of JACRA certification. All 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee, Coffee Traders included, must be inspected and certified by JACRA, Jamaica's coffee regulator, before it can leave the island. Here's what JACRA certification means.
- It's renewed every year. The certificate is valid for one year, so it reflects a current relationship, not an old one.
You can always ask any seller to show you their certificate. We are happy to show ours.
About Coffee Traders
Coffee Traders 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is grown on the steep slopes of Jamaica's Blue Mountains, 2,500 to 3,000+ feet up, picked by hand and roasted in small batches in Jamaica. It comes with a certificate of origin and is packed in foil bags with a one-way valve to keep it fresh.
In the cup it is bright, refined and beautifully clean: a smooth, balanced body with a bright acidity, floral and nutty undertones and a clean finish. Taste it black first; it rarely needs anything added.
We carry it as whole bean and ground:
- Coffee Traders 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee, Whole Bean 16oz, Pack of 2
- Coffee Traders Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee, Medium Roast Ground 16oz, Pack of 2
- Coffee Traders 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee, Medium Roast Ground 8oz, Pack of 2
Thank you
None of this happens without you. Every order, review and kind note has helped a small family business earn the trust of the people who grow and roast this coffee. We're grateful, and we'll keep doing what we've always done: making genuine Blue Mountain coffee available, and helping you know exactly what's in your cup.
